Welcome to Turtle, Home of Asphalt Milling!

The name Turtle has been synonymous with cold milling for over 30 years. In 1974 under the name of Turtle Structures, in Canton, Mass., Turtle purchased one of the first commercially built milling machines. During the winter of 1976, seeking year round work for the mills, owner Carmen Ando worked his way down the Eastern Seaboard and wound up settling in Florida. Under the name of Turtle Southeast, Carmen traveled the state promoting the benefits of cold milling, pioneering a new industry in the state. Carmen was joined by his son, David (current President), in 1983 and Turtle Southeast was incorporated in the State of Florida. Son Thomas (current Vice President) joined Turtle in 1984. Both sons started as equipment operators in Florida and in Puerto Rico. Their hands-on experience has been a key element in Turtle’s success. Today Turtle’s experience and dedication to providing quality service are unsurpassed in the industry.

What We Do

Turtle Southeast, Inc. currently operates throughout the State of Florida. Based in the Tampa Bay Area; the majority of our work is in central and southwest Florida. Our jobs vary in size and scope from 8000' runways to 200 square yard patch work, from string line milling to grade to full depth removal at 12" depth.
